GitHub is the most popular project development platform especially for open source projects. Github have approximately 28 million user worldwide as of June 2018 which makes it largest host of source code in the world. If we looks at past behavior of Microsoft towards open source project was not good. People said that Microsoft is cancer for Open source development which infect it with its copyright.

After the acquisition of GitHub, Microsoft said their attitude has been changed towards open source project development, now we are more involved in open source development, which is very hard to digest, How I can a company can change its attitude so dramatically.

There is huge Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt among developer across the globe. In a survey 53 % developer across the globe are not happy with this acquisition, around 24% percent of develop-are happy with this acquisition rest 23% are not sure about it.

Developers who are not happy with this acquisition are looking for similar platform like GitHub. As Microsoft says its change in attitude towards open source development many developers unable to trust the Microsoft because the way Microsoft forcing its patent towards open source project like Android and Linux.

Many developer believe that it will hurt the healthy Eco-system of open source development. Many developer believe that Microsoft is only trust-able if Microsoft apologize and return back the money collected from Patent enforcement and royalties to Android manufacture, Microsoft have several patent around Linux and Android Which Microsoft never made public so there is no point to trust them.
